notflix ist ein privat betriebener Videoserver - quasi wie Netflix oder Amazon Prime, welcher über Plex läuft.
- im Browser nur via app.plex.tv (Beste: Lesezeichen!) gehen; die Standarsuche scheint nicht mit meiner Bibliothek verknüpft zu sein
- für fast jedes Gerät gibts Apps - die nativen für Fernseher sind oft eher mau, auf Fire- oder AppleTV läufts problemlos
- → noch besser ist aber, am Computer direkt mit Plex Desktop (nicht Media Server) zu schauen
- zum Schauen meiner Medien muss man einfach links in der Seitenleiste "gute Filme" bzw "gute Serien" auswählen (Beste: direkt anpinnen!)
- persistente Spracheinstellungen muss man auf der Website manuell festlegen, leider merkt sich Plex die nicht
- bei Problemen mit leistem/merkwürdigem Ton ist es meist ein Problem des Players oder des Downmix; das passiert öfter in Browsern. Sprich mich im Zweifel gerne an
- ich versuche immer O-Ton und Deutsch bereitzustellen
- bei nicht-englischen Inhalten versuche ich neuerdings, wenigstens englische Untertitel vorzuhalten
- um Plex bei mir zu schauen brauchst Du keinen Plex-Pass/Premium Zugang
- ich teile hier meine private Sammlung, aber auch meinen Strom und meine Internetverbindung mit Dir und verlange dafür nichts - bitte teile Deinen Zugang daher nicht mit anderen (Stichwort Password Sharing)
- systembedingt kann ich sehen, wer was schaut und wo man (auf die Sekunde genau) gerade ist, sowie die verbundene IP - das will ich transparent kommunizieren. Schabernack stelle ich mit den Informationen nicht an
- ich shame niemanden: 1. habe ich ja alles selbst drauf geladen, 2. ist da ja eh nur gutes Zeug. Im Zweifel frage ich höchstens mal nach, wie etwas gewesen ist
- da der Server buchstäblich hinter meinem Fernseher steht, kann es auch mal zum Warten (im doppelten Wortsinn), Ausfällen bei der Vodafone, oder Performance-Problemen bei vielen, parallelen Zuschauenden kommen
- es ist nur eine parallele Verbindung zugelassen; falls es also spinnt, hilft ein Neustart des Browsers/des Abspielgeräts meist weiter (in hartnäckigen Fällen kann ich jemanden auch Remote "rauswerfen")
- falls Du irgendwelche Inhalte vermisst, kannst Du hier erfahren wie Du mir das sehr bequem mitteilen kannst (und das passiv - kein direkter Kontakt; der Traum)

- important note: my Plex crawls and fills everything with the german titles, but through the search you can also use the original titles to find the right content. The majority has german as well as original audio tracks, and/or subtitles!
- in a browser, only browse through app.plex.tv (best: bookmark!); the default search seems to not be connected to my database
- there are apps for almost every device - the native ones for TVs are often not great, but it works flawlessly on Fire TV or Apple TV
- → even better though, use Plex Desktop (not Media Server) when on a computer
- to watch my media, simply select "gute Filme" or "gute Serien" from the sidebar on the left (best: pin them!)
- persistent language settings must be set manually on the website; unfortunately, Plex does not remember them
- when you have issues with quiet/weird sound, it's often an issue of the player or the downmix; happens mostly in browsers. In worst case, talk to me for assistance
- I try to always provide original audio as well as the German dub
- for non-English content, I now try to at least provide English subtitles
- you do not need a Plex Pass/Premium account to watch Plex here
- I am sharing my private collection, but also my electricity and internet connection with you and ask nothing in return - so please don't share your access with others (password sharing)
- due to the system, I can see who is watching what and at which point in time you are (down to the second), as well as the connected IP - I want to be transparent about that. I don't do anything mischievous with this information
- I don't shame anyone: 1. I uploaded everything myself, 2. it's all good stuff anyway. At most, I might ask if you enjoyed something specific
- as the server literally sits behind my TV, there may be maintenance, buffering, outages with Vodafone, or performance issues if many people are watching at once
- only one simultaneous connection is allowed; if something acts up, restarting the browser or device usually helps (in edge cases, I can also “kick” someone remotely)
